What is a Taster Session?

A Taster Session is a relaxed introduction to archery where you can try the sport in a safe and friendly environment.

These sessions are perfect for anyone curious about archery but not quite ready to commit to a full beginners course. You’ll get the chance to shoot under the guidance of experienced club members, learn the basics of safe shooting, and see what the sport is all about.

No experience is needed and all equipment is provided – just bring yourself and a sense of curiosity.

During your session you’ll:

• Learn the basic safety rules of archery
• Receive simple guidance on how to hold and shoot a bow
• Shoot a number of arrows at the target
• Get tips from experienced club members
• Have plenty of opportunity to ask questions about the sport and the club

Our aim is simple – to give you a fun and welcoming first experience of archery.
