The Archery GB January Challenge is a nationwide virtual competition open to archers of all experience levels. Throughout January, participants submit their best Portsmouth score and are grouped into categories based on experience.
It is competitive, yes. But it is also accessible, supportive and a great way to test your progress against archers across the country.
You can read more about the challenge here:

Now that the results are out, it is time to recognise the effort from our own members.
Ryan, Dave, Ian and James all put in strong performances and placed solidly within the middle of their respective categories. Representing the club well and putting the hours in.
A special mention goes to Amanda, who secured an impressive third place in the Women’s category for archers with less than one year of experience. A fantastic achievement and a well earned result.
To everyone who took part, whether you set a personal best or simply gained experience along the way, your commitment deserves recognition. Entering and competing matters. Improvement comes from showing up.
For anyone who would like to see the full results, the complete leaderboard can be viewed here:

Certificates from Archery GB will be published on their website soon, so keep an eye out.
Events like this do more than measure scores. They build confidence, momentum and connection within the sport. Next year, it would be great to see even more of our members taking part so we can celebrate even more successes together.
